People are always talking about foods that burn fat and how you need to eat certain foods to lose weight. Let’s look at the other culprit: Beverages. Drinking these 3 beverages will pack on more weight than alot of the foods that you eat.
1. Alcohol
When you want to lose weight, you should not drink alcohol because it inhibits your body’s ability to burn fat.
When you drink alcohol, your liver has to detoxify it right off the bat.
This takes priority over carbohydrates, fats, and protein.
Fat is the hardest to process and break up so therefore your liver does this last.
People often eat while they drink alcohol so they tend to add a bunch of unecessary calories which… turn to fat. Alcohol has the second highest calorie content next to fat, with seven calories per gram vs. to nine calories per gram, respectively.
When alcohol is in your system, your body will convert more of the foods you eat into fat.
2. Soda
Soda is one of the reasons people become excessively fat in this country.
According to research, those who drink soda are most likely to have diabetes, obesity, osteoporosis, tooth decay, caffeine dependency, and nutritional deficiencies.
People who drink sodas are not conscious of their diet.
This adds at least 200 calories a day, or 1,400 calories per week, to their intake!
The components of soda are:
Phosphoric Acid: Mixes with the hydrochloric acid of the stomach and interferes with digestion.
It is also responsible for leeching minerals out of the bones.
Refined Sugar and High Fructose Corn Syrup: Sugar in liquid form is absorbed fast by the body putting the your health at risk.
When insulin levels spike, fat burning ability plummets. This leads to high blood pressure, high cholesterol, premature aging, heart disease, and, of course, weight gain.
A good holistic weight loss and diet plan will help you to find healthy, natural alternatives to sugar and HFCS.
3. Tap Water: Tap Water: composed of chemicals including chlorine, trihalomethanes, lead, and cadmium, which are hazardous to your health and get stored in fat cells.

Drinking a diet drink is similar to drinking pop plus artificial sweeteners that affect your brain making you want to eat more, and can cause cancer.
